    A preprint from NORDEMICS researchers Susanna Ukonaho, Virpi Lummaa, and Michael Briga shows that Finland’s first vaccine mandate - for smallpox vaccine and enacted in 1883 - helped to raise vaccination rates, and has implications for COVID-19 vaccine policy.
