Step 2: Admission Requirements
You must fulfil the admission requirements described below.
Please go to Step 3: Required Documentation to see the specific deadlines for uploading the required documents.
A bachelor's degree equivalent to a Danish bachelor's degree
Find general comparisons between the Danish education system and the education system for specific countries on the Ministry of Higher Education and Science’s website.
Specific admission requirements related to the relevant master’s programme
Your bachelor’s degree must fulfil specific admission requirements relevant for the specific master’s programme. Specific admission requirement are listed under each master’s programme. Some bachelor’s programmes have been pre-approved as qualifying for admission to RUC master’s programmes taught in English. Pre-approved programmes are listed under each master’s programme and in the admission guide.
The Admissions Office will assess if the academic content of your educational background gives you the necessary qualifications required for admission to a specific master’s programme. This is based on an individual, academic assessment.
You will be assessed based on:
- A degree equivalent to a Danish bachelor's degree
- Study elements equivalent to Danish bachelor’s level taken before completing your bachelor's degree - e.g. additional courses where you obtain ECTS/credits taken concurrently with your bachelor's degree or study elements passed at another bachelor's degree that you have not completed. However, we will only include a maximum of 30 ECTS from these studies.
You will not be assessed based on:
- Work experience
- Motivational letter
- Courses you have taken after completion of your bachelor's degree
- Courses equivalent to studies at Danish master's level
Prerequisite Studies
If you lack essential qualifications that amount to no more than 30 ECTS points in order to fulfil the specific admission requirements, you may be offered admission on the condition that you complete prerequisite studies first.
You can read more about whether you may be eligible to be offered prerequisite studies here.
English language requirement
Applicants for the master’s programme taught in English or in Danish must fulfil the English language requirements.
Below you can read about how to fulfil the English language requirement, either by an English test or through a European high school diploma. Please note that you will have to choose between these options when you submit your application.

Please be advised that 真人线上娱乐 University does not accept MyBest Scores.
Please note that we do not accept IELTS Academic Online.
Note: 真人线上娱乐 strongly recommend you send one of the language tests listed above.
English proficiency through a European high school diploma
While it is possible to send us your high school diploma from an EU, EEA or Nordic country or your IB/EB diploma with your application for admission to see if it fulfils the requirement of English at Danish B-level (you can find information about how to document your English level here), we must note that this is an academic assessment that will be made together with your application of admission.
This means that if we assess that your high school, IB or EB diploma does not fulfil the English language requirement, your application for admission will be rejected on that ground. You will not be able to send one of the tests listed above after we have made an academic assessment in which we may find that the level of your high school from an EU, EEA or Nordic country or your IB/EB diploma is insufficient.
Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to get a pre-assessment of your high school, IB or EB diploma from the admissions office.
Please note that we need to receive the documentation when you submit your application for admission. Please note that you cannot choose this option after the application deadline has passed.
If you choose to take up the option of documenting your English proficiency through a European high school diploma, you need to submit a verification form with your diploma. The verification form must be filled in, stamped and signed by the school in order to be accepted.
Danish language requirement
Applicants for the master’s programmes taught in Danish must also fulfil the Danish language requirement. It can be documented as follows:
- A course in Danish at Danish A-level
- The Danish proficiency test "Studiepr?ven". Courses for this test are offered at Studieskolen.
Have you already completed a master’s degree?
You can only start on a new master’s programme if there are vacant places on the relevant programme. This applies regardless of whether you have completed a master’s degree from Denmark or any other country as long as the programme is assessed as being at the same level as a Danish master’s degree.
If you would like to apply for admission to any new master’s programme, you should apply within the usual deadlines. When we receive your application, we will check whether there are vacant places on the relevant programme. You can apply for an exemption from the rules if you have exceptional reasons for not being able to use your original master’s degree in the labour market any longer.
You should upload your application for exemption together with your application for admission.
