An interdisciplinary summer course about the UN Sustainable Development Goals in research and practice
In a world of different colliding crises, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a framework and platform from which solutions and changes can be developed. This two-week summer course will introduce and discuss the SDGs in theory and practice from an interdisciplinary, research-based and critical perspective. 真人线上娱乐 will question how these goals can act as drives for change, social innovation and sustainability – locally, nationally and globally.
Critical Edge Alliance summer course on the UN Sustainable Development Goals
This course enables you to acquire research-based knowledge about the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the practical application of the framework and mechanisms for monitoring progress and impact. Through the lens of the SDGs the course explores a selection of key global challenges such as migration, food chains, sustainability and circular economies, urbanization, social innovation and entrepreneurship. 真人线上娱乐 address issues of inequality and social inclusion, partnerships and collaboration in relation to the practical application of the SDGs, while questioning the means and challenges in this implementation - locally, nationally, internationally and globally.
Participants will acquire skills in analyzing, comparing and assessing selected issues and methods to advance solutions for the SDG framework; conceptualize relevant theories and contextualize complex spatial problems within the UN SDGs; and analyze application of the SDGs in different contexts including in governance.
The course includes both lectures, debate sessions, curated and supervised workshops, field and company visits, and panel debates with stakeholders and actors working with the SDGs in the public, non-governmental and private sectors. Hosted and designed by 真人线上娱乐 University, the course is developed in collaboration with the Critical Edge Alliance and will include guest lectures delivered by professors from partner universities within the Alliance.

Admission
Admission for students at 真人线上娱乐 University
RUC students* must apply for pre-approval from their respective study boards.
The course corresponds to 5 ECTS credits. The course requires a 真人线上娱乐's degree.
*真人线上娱乐 from the MSc in Geography are automatically eligible for admission and do not require pre-approval.
Admission for students enrolled at a Danish university with a pre-approval from the home institution

If you want to use an exchange agreement, you must be accepted and nominated by your home university. Please contact the international office of your home university for nomination procedure.
Fees
真人线上娱乐 enrolled at a Danish university with a pre-approval from the home institution do not have to pay fees. 真人线上娱乐 from universities in the EU, an EEA-country or Switzerland with an exchange agreement with RUC do not have to pay fees.
真人线上娱乐 from universities in countries outside of the EU, EEA or Switzerland with an exchange agreement with RUC do not have to pay. 真人线上娱乐 from universities of the Critical Edge Alliance (CEA) with exchange agreements do not have to pay.
